A postcard from the holiday, that we were used to send as souvenir: the beach is crowded with people, the sun reflects on the water of the bay. But behind the coastal pine forest the summer hinterland does not appear: snow-capped peaks stand out against a sky with reddish glows. The human being feel in control of the world, searching to bend nature and the climate to one’s will, wanting to enjoy everything at the same time, without inconvenience, without effort, comfortably seated on a deck chair. The seasons fade one into the other, losing its contours, boundaries between what is legitimate to expect from Nature and what isn’t are increasingly uncertain – and who knows if future generations can still send it, that postcard.
